Biography

I started studying ageing by looking at the role of mitochondrial electron transfer chain in healthspan and lifespan using drosophila, as a PhD student under the supervision of Dr. Hervé Tricoire in Paris, France (2007 - 2010).

As a postdoc, I then moved to the organ level in order to better understand how lifespan and healthspan can be influenced by a single tissue, namely the intestine, in Dr David Walker's team in Los Angeles, CA (2010 - 2013).

In 2013, I was recruited by the CNRS as a researcher with the aim of understanding ageing as a systemic phenomenon.

In 2017 I was awarded a highly selective ATIP-Avenir grant (CNRS-Inserm) which allowed me to start my research group in the Department of Biological Adaptation and Ageing (B2A-UMR8256) in Paris.

In 2020, I was appointed as a Core fellow (senior research) by the Centre de Recherche Interdisciplinaire (CRI Paris) where I can further our understanding of ageing with my research group.
