Dr. Sinjini Roy is an independent researcher and social gerontologist with over a decade of research experience. She previously served as Assistant Professor of Sociology under the West Bengal Education Service, India. She earned her M.A. in Sociology from Jawaharlal Nehru University (2012) and completed her Ph.D. from the University of North Bengal (2018). She is the author of Life of the Middle-Class Aged in Kolkata (2019) and has published 20 articles in national and international journals. In recognition of her academic contributions, she received “Prof. Nirendra Chandra Chowdhury Young Scholar Award” from the Indian Anthropological Society in 2019.
